Good Dog Erie - Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Good Dog Erie ("we", "us", "our") is a monthly dog subscription box service based in Erie, Pennsylvania. We curate and deliver boxes containing dog treats, toys, accessories, and occasional human apparel. We are not a veterinary provider, dog trainer, or product manufacturer.

2. Account and reservations

To reserve a box, you provide an email, optional contact info, and information about your dog (size, gender, chew level, allergies). You confirm that information is accurate and that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Founding members

Founding members hold a locked-in subscription price for as long as their subscription remains continuously active. If a founder cancels and later resubscribes, founder pricing does not transfer back automatically.

4. Billing

• Reservation holds your founder spot at no charge.
• We bill the first box price (currently $25 for founders, $40 standard) just before your first box ships.
• Recurring subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe at your locked-in rate.
• All prices are in USD. Prices may change for new (non-founder) subscriptions with notice.

5. Delivery

We hand-deliver within Erie city and Millcreek. Outside that area, we ship via standard USPS / UPS. Delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed.

6. Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel any time before the next billing date and you will not be charged for the next box.
• Once a box has been packed and shipped, that box is non-refundable.
• If you receive a damaged box or a product is defective, contact us within 14 days and we will replace the item or issue a credit at our discretion.
• We do not offer cash refunds for boxes that have already shipped.

7. Product and allergy disclaimer

We curate products made by third-party makers. We use the allergy information you provide to exclude common allergens (chicken, beef, wheat, etc.) but we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free box - third-party products can contain trace ingredients, share manufacturing facilities, or have undisclosed allergens. You are responsible for inspecting all products before giving them to your dog. If your dog has a severe or life-threatening allergy, do not rely solely on our screening - consult the product packaging and your veterinarian.

8. Product safety

We do not manufacture any of the products in our boxes. Product safety, recalls, and warranties are the responsibility of the original manufacturer. If a product harms your dog, you may have a claim against the manufacturer; Good Dog Erie's liability is limited as described below.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, our total liability for any claim related to a Good Dog Erie box is limited to the amount you paid for that box. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages including but not limited to veterinary costs arising from products in the box.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Good Dog Erie from any third-party claims arising from your use or misuse of products we deliver.

11. Termination

We may cancel a subscription at our discretion (for example, fraud, repeated chargebacks, abuse). We will refund any prepaid amount for boxes that have not yet shipped.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Erie County, Pennsylvania.
